Always glue your tires to your rims. This offers two advantages. First, your tires will not fall off of your rims during a race (I'm sure you have all seen this happen to some poor guy). Second, your car will handle better. There is not much point in buying expensive tires that stick to the ground well if they are not stuck to the car. Unglued tires don't offer positive control of the vehicle. Don't worry, you can get them off later - click here to find out! After you are finished running your nitro engine for the day, dump out any remaining fuel from the tank and start the engine again. Let the engine idle until all of the fuel is burned out of the fuel lines and filter. Then drop 5 or 6 drops of after-run oil in the carb or glow plug hole and turn the engine over a few times. Now you can safely store your engine without it gumming up from old fuel. If you notice that your shafts are not as tight in the bearings as they used to be, spread a little Tamiya thread-lock on the shaft and let it dry (it doesn't take much). When you place the bearing over the shaft it will be snug and slop free. The tighter tolerances will make your car easier to drive so you can go faster at the track. Run between 10" to 18" of silicone fuel tubing for your pressure line between the fuel tank and exhaust on your nitro car. This will help reduce pulsing in the fuel tank which will offer a more linear power band. It will also help stop fuel from leaking out of the exhaust during a crash when your car flips over.
